Our Staff The Emergency Department at Bluefield Regional Medical Center is staffed with highly qualified personnel using state-of-the-art equipment. Our goal is to provide quality care and to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Our medical staff has received specialized training in Emergency Medicine. Our nursing staff receives on-going continuing education in: Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Trauma Nursing, with many of our nurses being instructors as well. In addition, several of our nurses have received specialized training in HazMat (Hazardous Materials), an issue with increased relevance since 9/11. Also, in an effort to provide comprehensive treatment for the patient who has experienced sexual assault, four nurses have received specialized training through the Mercer County Sexual Assault Task Force.
