As
Medical Director of the Occupational and Physical Therapy Departments
at Bluefield Regional Medical Center I have a direct interest
in ensuring quality services for the patients I treat as well
as any patient receiving occupational and physical therapy services
at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
One of
the assets of being able to offer therapy throughout the continuum
of care is the ability to keep patients at Bluefield Regional
not only for occupational and physical therapy, but also for
nursing services. Providing services on the hospital campus
allows the physician to maintain involvement with the patient
and the 1:1 contact and communication that are essential in
the recovery process. Bluefield Regional occupational and physical
therapists understand the importance of communication and do
an excellent job not only in the direct care they provide, but
also in communication regarding the patients with the referring
physician. I have observed first hand excellent outcomes with
the patients I treat. This leads not only to a happy and satisfied
patient, but happier families as well. I would encourage any
patient in need of occupational or physical therapy to consider
Bluefield Regional as their provider of choice.
