Our Mission & Objectives

The Mission of Occupational and Physical Therapy is to provide the highest quality standard of occupational and physical therapy services. Optimum patient care will be given without regard to age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual preference or national origin in a cost effective environment.

The Occupational and Physical Therapy Department is an integral part of Bluefield Regional Medical Center, working in a close relationship with its staff for the most comprehensive and effective patient care.

The Departmental Objectives are as follows:

  • Objective #1 – The patient shall be treated as a total person – body, mind, and spirit – not as a room number or diagnosis.
  • Objective #2 – The patient’s rights shall be respected at all times. He/she will be treated with kindness, dignity and respect.
  • Objective #3 – The patient will be the center and number one priority of the BRMC team. The treatment plan will include the patient’s goals and objectives.
  • Objective #4 – The Occupational and Physical Therapy staff will develop and support a plan of care to foster the most comprehensive and effective patient care, thus leading to the greatest patient outcome.
  • Objective #5 – The Occupational and Physical Therapy staff will commit total loyalty and interdisciplinary collaboration with the facility they represent.

We look forward to working with you at BRMC!
